Elizabeth Yarberry Shafer RPh, DVM

A fourth generation in the thoroughbred industry, Dr. Shafer is originally from Benton, IL, and moved to Louisville after graduating from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1995. She earned her DVM degree with Highest Honors in 2017 from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Shafer joined KEMA in 2017 and completed her acupuncture certification in 2019. She is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society, and the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture.
